ISLAMABAD: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has launched Roshan Apna Ghar Scheme / program for Pakistanis abroad.

According to the details, under this scheme, Pakistanis around the world will be able to buy their home anywhere in Pakistan using their Roshan digital account.
Talks have been held with various banks in this regard, as a result of which it has been decided that private banks will provide easy loans to overseas Pakistanis for their homes. At the same time, it has been decided that some special facilities will be provided which will be available only to overseas Pakistanis.
Overseas Pakistan Invest through Roshan Apna Ghar Scheme
For the first time in the history of Pakistan, overseas Pakistanis will be able to invest in housing in Pakistan through digital process with confidence and get easy financing from banks for home.
The State Bank of Pakistan has formulated this scheme in consultation with all stakeholders of the New Pakistan Housing Authority.
Overseas Pakistanis will now be able to buy a home in Pakistan through the Roshan Apna Ghar Scheme.
Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan : Roshan Apan Ghar Scheme
The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has formally inaugurated the Roshan Apna Ghar Scheme for Overseas Pakistanis which is being appreciated globally by non-resident Pakistanis.
Roshan Digital Account
Under this scheme, overseas Pakistanis can now have Roshan Digital Accounts at home in Pakistan or finance them.
Apan Ghar Roshan Scheme
Apna Ghar Roshan Scheme was introduced by State Bank of Pakistan on August 25 this year. Overseas Pakistanis can now join the scheme digitally from home. In this regard, the tax system in Roshan Apna Ghar scheme has been kept simple and final.
In case of sale of property in Roshan Apna Ghar scheme, the money will be fully transferable, while no one will inquire about it. Roshan Apna Ghar scheme will provide financing at attractive interest rates.
As we know, overseas Pakistanis sent remittances of Rs 29 billion to Pakistan this year, which is a record. It may be recalled that despite all the difficulties, remittances increased by Rs 5 billion this year.
Apni Kar Scheme
Earlier, the Federal Government inaugurated Roshan Apni Kar, a scheme to buy a car for loved ones in Pakistan through Roshan Digital Account for Pakistanis abroad.
Under the Apni Kar / Car scheme, Pakistani citizens can now buy a Kar/ car digitally from Pakistani banks while staying abroad through the Roshan digital platform.
Senator Faisal Javed has said in a tweet that overseas Pakistanis have opened 200,000 bright digital accounts while billions of rupees have been deposited in less than a year. He said that 1.4 billion has been invested in New Pakistan Certificate so far which is the best move of SBP in digital sector.
Non-resident / overseas Pakistanis can now buy a house in Pakistan or get financing through Roshan Digital Account.
It said that Roshan Digital Account is an important step of the State Bank of Pakistan, which is launching cooperation with commercial banks in Pakistan on September 10, 2020.
