What is a Rohan Digital Account?
Wherever Pakistanis live in the world, they no longer need to come home to open a bank account in the country. The State Bank of Pakistan, in collaboration with eight major banks in the country, has introduced Roshan Digital Account, which allows Pakistanis abroad to easily open an account at any bank in the country from home.
Rules of Digital Account Opening
The SBP has enacted simple rules for opening a Roshan digital account so that Pakistani expatriates can easily invest in stocks, real estate and T-bills.
Roshan Digital Account can be opened in which banks?
Roshan Digital Account can be opened in Eight (8) major banks in Pakistan including
- Habib Bank
- Samba Bank
- Meezan Bank
- Bank Al Falah
- Faisal Bank
- Standard Chartered Bank
How to open a Roshan digital account.
Visit the website of the banks, which are allowed by SBP to open Roshan Digital Account and apply by clicking on Roshan Digital Link or visit the page of SBP where the list of banks that have opened Roshan Digital Account is available. By clicking on the website of your desired bank, the “Apply Bright Digital Account” page of that bank will open in front of you where you can apply by adding your information.

To apply for Digital Account, you will need to upload documents such as your photo, ID card, passport, proof of stay abroad, job certificate or salary slip for employers and tax returns or your source of income for overseas businessmen.
When filling out the form, enter your e-mail account that you use regularly, as well as your personal phone number or mobile number.
When you complete the form, you will receive a confirmation email 48 hours later informing you of your account status. If you open an account, you will be eligible for other activities, including fund transfers.
